So it turns out that it is easier to fly out of Banjul rather than trekking up to Dakar via public transit, because my flight tickets are all part of a package deal. If I were to cancel the first leg, things could have gotten pretty messy. So I am flying out tomorrow evening. I'm actually pretty glad that I decided to stay in Gambia. This morning, on our way back to Brikama from Kartong, Moriba and I stopped in Gunjur and recorded Jali Mady Susso in his compound. He plays a very distinct traditional style, and it was probably my favorite kora playing that I've heard this entire trip.
That's all I really have to say. I'm extremely tired and am struggling to keep my eyes open. I will see you all very soon
Love,
Sean

Hi Sean ,
I hope that you arrive safely in the US. I am passing your web site details to Judy one of the wonderful English ladies that I met on my first night at Halahin. I have enjoyed reading stories of your experience in the Gambia. It has added to and enriched the lovely week that I spent at Halahin and Dombondier. I am hoping to experience drum and dance camps here in the UK maybe even link up with some folks that I met in the Gambia. Also looking forward to a new meditation group starting next week and the dalai lama's visit next month.
Just want to say what a lovely talented inspiring human being you are. take care, warm regards,
jenny
